How should we deal with the malfunction of the monitor?


Common fault handling

Monitor plays an important role in the whole monitoring process. Since the monitor works almost 24 hours continuously, its failure rate is high. Common faults and troubleshooting methods of monitor manufacturers are introduced as follows:


One

No indication on boot.

Fault phenomenon: when the instrument is turned on, the screen is not displayed and the indicator light is not on; when the external power supply is connected, the battery voltage is low to alarm, and then the machine shuts down automatically; when the battery is not connected, the battery voltage is low to alarm, and then automatically shut down, even if the machine is charged useless.

Inspection methods:

(1) check whether the 12V voltage is low when the instrument is not connected with alternating current. The fault alarm indicates that the output voltage detection part of the power supply board detects a low voltage, which may be caused by the fault of the power supply board detection part or the output fault of the power supply board, or by the fault of the back-end load circuit.

(2) When the battery is installed, this phenomenon shows that the monitor works in the state of battery power supply and the battery power is basically used up, AC input is not working properly. The possible reason is that the 220V power outlet itself has no electricity or fuse.

(3) If the battery is not connected with the battery, it is judged that the rechargeable battery is broken or the battery can not be charged because of the failure of the power supply board/charge control board.

Elimination method: connect all the connection points reliably, connect the alternating current to charge the instrument.


Two

White screen and flower screen

Fault phenomenon: boot display, but appear white screen, flower screen.

Check method: white screen, flower screen shows that the display has inverter power supply, but no main control board display signal input. The display can be connected to the VGA output port at the back of the machine. If the output is normal, the screen may be broken or the connection between the screen and the main control board is not good.

Exclusive method: replace the monitor or check whether the wiring of the main control panel is stable. When VGA has no output, the main control board needs to be replaced.


Three

ECG non waveform

Failure phenomenon: connect the lead wire without ECG waveform, the display screen shows "electrode shedding" or "no signal reception".

Inspection methods:

First, check the lead mode. If it is a five lead mode, but only three guide, there is no waveform.

(2) On the premise of confirming the placement position of the electrode slice and the quality of the electrode slice, the ECG cable is exchanged with other machines to confirm whether the ECG cable is faulty, whether the cable is aging and the pin is broken.

(3) If the ECG cable fault is eliminated, the possible reason is that the "ECG signal line" on the parameter socket board is not well contacted, or the connection line and the main control board of the ECG board and the ECG board are faulty.

Methods of elimination:Meilun

(1) Check all the external parts of the ECG leads (three/five extension wires in contact with the human body should be connected to the corresponding three/five contacts on the ECG plug, if the resistance is infinite indicating that the lead is broken, the lead wire should be replaced).

(2) If the ECG waveform channel shows "no signal reception", the ECG measurement module and the host communication problems, shut down and restart the machine still has this prompt, need to contact the supplier.

ECG waveform disorder

Fault phenomenon: ECG waveform interference is large, waveform is not standard, not standard.

Inspection method: monitor manufacturer

First of all, interference from the signal input should be eliminated, such as patient movement, failure of cardiac electrode, aging of ECG leads, poor contact.

(2) If the filtering mode is called "monitoring" or "operation", the effect will be better, because the filtering band is wider in the two modes.

If the waveform effect is not good under the operation, please check the zero ground voltage, generally within 5V, can pull a single ground wire to achieve good grounding purposes.

If the grounding is not possible, it may be from the internal interference of the machine, such as the poor shielding of the ECG plate and other reasons. Try to replace parts at this time.

Exclusive method: the amplitude of ECG can be adjusted to the appropriate value, and the whole waveform can be observed.

ECG baseline wander

Fault phenomenon: ECG scanning baseline can not be stabilized on the display screen, and sometimes drift out of the display area.

Inspection methods:

Whether the environment of the instrument is damp and whether the instrument is damp or not;

Second, check the quality of the electrode and whether the parts of the human contact electrode are cleaned.

SPO2 no value

Fault phenomenon: during monitoring, there is no blood oxygen waveform and no blood oxygen value.

Inspection method: monitor manufacturer

If a blood oxygen probe is changed, if it is not possible, it may be a blood oxygen probe or a blood oxygen extension line failure.

Inspection methods:

First, we need to ask whether it is aimed at a particular case or universal. If it is a special case, we can avoid it as far as possible from the matters needing attention in blood oxygen measurement, such as patients'movement, microcirculation is not smooth, hypothermia, too long and so on.

If a blood oxygen probe is replaced, it may be caused by a blood oxygen probe failure.

Check whether the blood oxygen extension line is damaged.

Exclusion: Try to keep the patient stable, once the hand movements caused by the loss of blood oxygen value, can be considered normal. If blood oxygen extension line is bad, replace one.


Ten

NIBP inflation is not enough.

Trouble phenomenon: blood pressure measurement time "cuff too loose" or cuff leak, inflatable pressure always can not be filled up (below 150mmHg), can not be measured.

Inspection methods:

(1) There may be a real air leak, such as the cuff, the air duct and various joints, through the "leak detection" can be judged.

(2) Patient mode selection is not correct. If an adult cuff is used, but the patient type of monitor is a newborn, there may be this alarm.

Exclusive method: change the quality of the blood pressure or choose the right type of blood pressure cuff.


Eleven

NIBP measurements are inaccurate.

Fault phenomenon: the deviation of measured blood pressure is too large.

Methods: To check if there is a leak in the blood pressure cuff, if there is a leak in the pipe interface connected with the blood pressure, or if there is a subjective judgment difference between the blood pressure cuff and auscultation?

Troubleshooting: use NIBP calibration function. This is the only available standard to check the correctness of NIBP module calibration value at user site. The standard deviation of pressure for NIBP inspection is less than 8mmHg. If it is exceeded, the blood pressure module should be replaced.


Twelve

Module communication exception

Failure phenomenon: each module reported "communication stopped", "communication error", "initialization error".

Inspection method: this phenomenon indicates that the communication between the parameter module and the main control board is abnormal. Firstly, the connection between the parameter module and the main control board is re-plugged, if not, the parameter module is considered, and then the main control board fault is considered.

Exclusion: Check whether the connection between the parameter module and the main control board is stable, whether the parameter module is set correctly, or replace the main control board.
